How to Use Xino Products
Step-by-step guidance for using the Xino Ergonomic Bedpan and Xino Portable Bidet.
Follow the patient’s care plan and the instructions of qualified healthcare professionals.
1. Preparation
After assessing the patient’s weight, pain, mobility and ability to cooperate, adjust the bed to a suitable height and position while maintaining privacy and obtaining permission.
2. Placing the Bedpan
Ask the patient to cooperate as much as possible while the bedpan is being positioned. Place the Xino Ergonomic Bedpan beneath the patient’s buttocks with its hinges facing the patient’s head. At this stage, the lid can be opened and a plastic liner placed inside without concern about the liner touching the patient’s skin, so bodily waste and, when the Xino Portable Bidet is used, cleansing water collect inside it.
- Use of a suitable absorbent pad is recommended.
- Make sure the plastic liner has no holes.
3. Using the Xino Portable Bidet
After placing the ergonomic bedpan beneath the patient, attach the Xino Portable Bidet—filled with tap water up to the marked line—to the front of the bedpan, as shown. After the patient has finished, press the button on the bidet handle to cleanse the patient’s lower body with a flow of clean water.
Avoid overfilling the bidet reservoir and make sure the water temperature is suitable for the patient.
4. Removing the Bedpan
The Xino Ergonomic Bedpan has practical handholds on both sides. Ask the patient to cooperate, as far as possible, by lifting their buttocks while the bedpan is gently removed.
